About this spot
A traditional water wheel facility along the Chitose River adjacent to Chitose Aquarium that has been used for salmon fishing. The mechanism for efficiently catching salmon swimming upstream can still be viewed, allowing you to feel the history of Chitose as an ancient 'Salmon Town.' The riverside promenade is pleasant for walking and offers a cool spot to enjoy the waters.

2026年7月25日(土)開催、北千歳駐屯地内のスキー山を会場にした花火大会です。19時45分から20時30分までの45分間、約4,000発の花火が夜空を彩ります。新千歳空港の開港100年という節目を記念した特別な回で、例年以上の盛り上がりが期待できます。空の玄関口として発展してきた千歳の歴史を祝う、夏の締めくくりにふさわしい花火です。
Tips
荒天時は中止または延期となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は事前に確認しましょう。終了後は周辺道路が混雑するため、少し余韻を楽しんでからの時間差帰宅がおすすめです。

Best time to visit
About 45 minutes required. While salmon migration season is mainly in autumn, the riverside walk is also pleasant to enjoy in summer.
