A leading scenic spot representing Sounkyo, where Ginga Falls and Ryusei Falls cascade side by side down a sheer cliff. Ginga Falls flows thin and elegant, while Ryusei Falls plunges down with powerful force, creating a striking contrast - they are also known as the Male Falls and Female Falls. Viewable up close from the observation deck, the cool air you feel along with the spray offers just the right refreshment for a summer stroll.

Tips

Just a short walk or drive from the Sounkyo Onsen hot spring town. The path to the observation deck is paved, but the ground around the falls can get slippery, so wear comfortable walking shoes.
