Asaoi-ura (浅海井浦), where tonight's fireworks will launch, is a small fishing village facing the Bungo Strait. Fishing boats line the harbor, and a calm atmosphere flows through this community that has lived alongside local fishing. Just strolling along the shore lets you take in fishing-village scenery and the scent of the sea that you can't experience in the city.
