About this spot

This is the dam lake created by the Gassan Dam (月山ダム). A quiet water surface surrounded by mountains spreads out, and even in summer the breeze feels pleasantly cool. An observation area is set up along the lakeshore, letting families relax and take in the scenery together. It's a spot where you can forget the bustle of the city and enjoy the calm of a mountain valley.

Tips

Travel by car from Michi-no-Eki Nishikawa (道の駅にしかわ). There's little shade around the observation area, so a hat is reassuring to have.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour. In the clear afternoon air, the greenery of the mountains stands out beautifully.
