About this spot

A townscape in the Setamai District of Sumita Town, lined with old merchant houses and storehouses. Buildings that tell the story of the town's history as a thriving forestry center still stand today, and simply walking slowly through the streets lets you feel the atmosphere of life in bygone days. It is not a flashy tourist facility, but a perfect area for a family to enjoy a leisurely town walk. The white walls of the storehouses standing out in the summer sunlight are also a highlight.

Tips

About a 10-minute drive from Michi-no-Eki Taneyamagahara Poran. Wear comfortable walking shoes. The next stop, the Kesen River, is a short walk or drive away.
