Next stop: Take in the sweeping scenery of the dam and reservoir on the Kandogawa RiverAbout this spot
A roadside station along National Route 54 in Iinan Town. Local produce and processed goods are on display, and you can look around at seasonal vegetables and mountain fare typical of a town in the hills. For children, just seeing unfamiliar vegetables and regional products lined up is a string of small discoveries, so the shopping itself becomes sightseeing. There is no guarantee of a shop at the Jabu-Jabu Pond, so stocking up on drinks and snacks here makes the afternoon worry-free. As the starting point of your drive, it is also a convenient first stop for a restroom break and local information.
Tips
Opening hours and closing days can change with the season, so check the official information in advance. The selection of farm-direct vegetables is widest early in the morning. A cooler bag is handy, as it lets you leave your purchases in the car and spend the whole day out.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour. Early morning, when the selection is best, is recommended.
