About this spot

This café and rental space is located about 300 meters north of the north exit of Izumo-shi Station, in the covered Sun Road Naka-machi shopping arcade. Opened in 2020 under the concept of “enjoying the fermentation between people,” it has a wooden counter and table seating, with a Japanese-style tatami room in the back, making it comfortable even with children. Its signature menu features fermentation-themed items such as sake-lees cheesecake. After a relaxed time at the café, head toward Satogata-cho, where the fireworks will be launched, in the evening to prepare for the night.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from the Izumo Cultural Heritage Museum. If you plan to ride the fireworks train, allow plenty of time to make it to Kawato Station by its 8:22 p.m. departure. Checking the location of restrooms at this time will also give you peace of mind for the evening.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 30 minutes. It's nice to wait while watching the changing colors of the evening sky.
