Move to the area around Mishima-Kawanoe Port (三島川之江港), where the fireworks launch, and have dinner while waiting for the show to start. On the day of the Minato Festival, the area fills with crowds from the evening on, with the glow of food stalls and festival energy spreading through the port. Since large crowds are expected for this fireworks display, it's best to act early with the crowds in mind.
Tips
The area around the port gets very crowded from the evening onward on the festival day. Get your food and drinks early (shops near the venue tend to sell out quickly). Secure your viewing spot ahead of time as well.
