View Sado Island and the Sea of Japan from the Mountain Top
About this spot
This ropeway connects the foot of Yahiko Mountain to near its summit. As your gondola rises, the elevation gain reveals a panoramic vista spanning the Echigo Plains, the Sea of Japan, and Sado Island on clear days. The summit area is equipped with observation decks and walking trails, allowing you to enjoy the scenery in the cool mountain air. Even on hot summer days, the mountain top remains comfortably cool.

弥彦神社の夏を締めくくる燈籠まつりの奉納花火大会です。会場の弥彦公園には約250発の花火が打ち上がり、神社の杜と一体になった厳かで美しい光景が広がります。20時から22時までと開催時間が長く、家族でゆったり最後まで楽しめるのも魅力です。昼間に訪れた神社や公園の景色が、夜には花火とともにまったく違う表情を見せてくれます。
Tips
荒天時は中止または延期となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は弥彦村の公式発表で確認しましょう。終了後は温泉街や駅周辺が大変混み合います。足元が暗くなるので、小さな子ども連れは懐中電灯があると安心です。
