About this spot
A freshwater lake located nearly at the center of Miyake Island, surrounded by a rich forest. Despite being a volcanic island, the deep green forest that spreads is a gift of nature unique to Miyake Island. A walking trail is maintained around the lake, and you can enjoy gazing at the quiet water surface while strolling leisurely. Known as a Bird Island, it is a treasure trove of wild birds, and the charm lies in the fact that you can enjoy bird songs even without binoculars.

三宅島の夏を彩る、マリンスコーレ21フェスティバルの締めくくりとなる花火大会です。錆ヶ浜港の夜空に花火が打ち上がり、静かな島の夜を華やかに彩ります。打ち上げ数の公表はありませんが、火山島ならではの自然と歴史を1日かけて巡ったあとに見上げる花火は、忘れられない特別なひとときになるはずです。周囲に高い建物が少ない島ならではの、遮るもののない花火の眺めも魅力です。
Tips
荒天時は中止となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は三宅村の公式発表で確認しましょう。島内は街灯が少ないため、懐中電灯を持参すると安心です。船やヘリコミューターの時刻を事前に確認しておきましょう。

The trail has some uneven sections, so wear comfortable walking shoes. In summer, there are many insects, so take insect repellent measures. At the adjacent Akakokko Hall, you can also learn about the natural features of the island.
