About this spot
A park developed on the site of Kitanosho Castle built by warlord Shibata Katsuie, with the adjacent Shibata Shrine dedicated to Katsuie and Lady Oichi. Portions of the excavated stone walls are displayed within the park, allowing you to intimately experience Fukui's Sengoku period history. As a compact park, it's easy to make a brief stop during your city walk.

Tips
荒天時は中止や順延となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は事前に確認しましょう。終了後は周辺道路・駐車場が大変混雑するため、少し余韻を楽しんでから時間差での帰宅がおすすめです。

Within walking distance from Yohokukan Garden. Admission is free. The park has plenty of benches and is suitable for a brief rest during the hot afternoon.
