About this spot
A sandy beach approximately 1.2 km long with a gentle arc, representing Hitachinaka's iconic seaside. Busy with swimmers in summer, the beach offers sandplay and shell hunting in other seasons, and simply gazing at the horizon is refreshing. It's just a short walk from Ajigaura Station, the terminus of the Hitachinaka Seaside Railway.
Tips
Bring a towel and change of clothes for sandplay. Wear a cardigan on windy days. There are seafood lunch restaurants nearby around Isozaki Port.
