About this spot

This highland resort, roughly 1,000m above sea level, spreads across neighboring Omi Village (麻績村). Its charm lies in the clear, cool air even in summer, and the lush green meadows offer expansive views of the surrounding mountains. Hiking courses are also well maintained, making it perfect for a leisurely family walk through nature. It offers a sense of openness unique to a highland, quite different from the gorge and shrine visits in the rural lowlands.

Tips

About a 20-minute drive from Shonarasan Angu Shrine (修那羅山安宮神社). Since it's at high altitude, a light jacket is reassuring even in summer mornings and evenings. Keeping in mind the time needed to return to the venue, plan to leave around 5:00 PM.
