A shrine located on a mountainside, known nationwide for the rare sight of hundreds of stone Buddhas and stone deities lining the approach and grounds. The numerous simple yet expressive stone Buddhas tell the story of generations of local faith since the Edo period. Walking quietly along mountain paths surrounded by trees, viewing the stone Buddhas one by one, is filled with mysterious rural charm. Walking with children, searching for stone Buddhas with different expressions, is also enjoyable.
