About this spot
An area where the distinctive landscape of white steam vents rising from various locations throughout the seaside hot spring town unfolds, unique to Atakawa. Free foot baths are scattered throughout, and you can stop by them during your exploration to savor the atmosphere of a hot spring resort. Walking through narrow alleys and slopes while viewing traditional hot spring inns lining the street is also one of the pleasures. Because it is a compact hot spring town nestled between sea and mountains, families can leisurely walk and explore.

2026年7月25日(土)20時45分から開催される、熱川温泉の夏を彩る海上花火大会です。海に面した堤防から、約800発の花火が15分間にわたって夜空と海上を彩ります。温泉街の灯りと湯けむり、そして海面に映る花火の光が織りなす景色は、熱川温泉ならではの情緒あふれる眺めです。短くも凝縮された花火のフィナーレは、1日の締めくくりにふさわしい特別なひとときになります。
Tips
荒天時は中止となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は東伊豆町の観光情報で確認しましょう。終了後は駅と周辺道路が混み合うため、余韻を楽しんでから時間差で帰路につくのがおすすめです。足元が暗いので明かりの準備を。
Tips
About 20 minutes walk from the Atakawa Banana and Crocodile Garden. While foot baths are basically free, it's recommended to bring a towel. During summer daytime, the sunlight is strong, so try to take frequent breaks and stay hydrated.
Best time to visit
Takes approximately 1.25 hours. The afternoon is recommended when steam vents are particularly prominent.
