Sky Walk by Lift – A Grand Panorama of Yumiga-hama and the Japan Sea

About this spot

A highland resort spreading across the western foothills of Daisen, known as the scenic spot "Hoki Fuji" because Daisen viewed from the west resembles Mount Fuji in its beauty. The main attraction is the Sky Lift spanning the mountainside. From the observation deck at the end of this slow-paced aerial walk, a vast panorama unfolds: the graceful arc of Yumiga-hama Peninsula, the Japan Sea, and even the distant Shimane Peninsula come into view. Designated as a "Sacred Site for Lovers," the area around the observation deck is romantic, and in the evening, the sea shines golden. This is the perfect place to end your day, etching the grandeur of Daisen and the sparkle of the Japan Sea into your heart.

Tips

The lift may close during strong winds and other conditions, so check the day's operating status before heading out for peace of mind. As elevation increases, the wind becomes cold, so bring a light jacket. Descend before dark for safe driving on the return journey.

Best time to visit

Approximately 1 hour 50 minutes required. In the evening, the Japan Sea and Yumiga-hama are illuminated by the setting sun, creating the day's most beautiful vista.
