View Power Station Ruins Submerged in Dam Lake, a Spectacular Sight Visible Only During Dry Season
About this spot
A brick power station structure built during the Meiji era located just near Sogi Waterfall. It was submerged by dam construction, but during periods of low water levels, the ruins appear from the lake surface creating a fantastical landscape. As an important modern heritage site, it's a spot worth visiting alongside Sogi Waterfall.

Just a few minutes by car from Sogi Waterfall. Depending on water levels, the ruins may not be visible during certain periods. Viewing is primarily from observation points.
Best time to visit
Approximately 30 minutes required. Perfect as a brief stop after viewing the waterfall.
