About this spot

A park developed on a small hill near the center of China Town, located on Mount Oyama, which also inspired the festival's name. From near the top, you can see the island's settlements, sugarcane fields, and surrounding sea, offering a view that showcases island life at a glance. A historic spot that has become the stage for the Oyama Festival cherished by the local community.

Tips

Accessible by car from Shouyuudo Cave. There are stairs and slopes to the observation area, so wear comfortable walking shoes.
