This is the waterfront area around Kagoshima Port Sakurajima Ferry Terminal (鹿児島港桜島フェリーターミナル), the departure and arrival point for the Kinko Bay Night Cruise (錦江湾ナイトクルーズ). Since boarding is scheduled to begin around 6:30 PM, finish dinner beforehand in the area or in Tenmonkan (天文館). You can spend time before departure watching Sakurajima's (桜島) silhouette across Kinko Bay dyed by the evening light.

Tips

The cruise is ticketed, limited to the first 700 people, with tickets sold in advance. Head to the terminal with plenty of time to spare so you're not late for boarding (scheduled around 6:30 PM). It's also a good idea to finish dinner around Tenmonkan before heading over.
