It's a shallow-sloping Sea of Japan beach known for its clarity, with a beautiful contrast between white sand and blue sea, and a majestic landscape befitting its place within the San'in Coast Geopark. Six beach huts (umi no ie) line the shore, available for meals, rest, and showers. Life jacket rentals (500 yen) are also available for families with small children, giving extra peace of mind for playing in the waves. Paid parking is available too, making it an easy beach to visit by car.

Tips

Swimming is allowed only until 5:00 PM. It's recommended to wrap up around 4:45 PM to allow time to change. Using the beach huts and the parking lot both cost money, so have cash or coins ready. Life jacket rentals are limited in number, so on crowded days it's best to rent one early.

Best time to visit

From the early afternoon around 1:00 PM, the sunlight eases up a bit, making it a great stretch to enjoy plenty of swimming through to evening
