About this spot

This is a green space developed along the Maruyama River (円山川), which flows through the city of Toyooka. The spacious embankment path sees many locals enjoying walks and jogging, making it a perfect spot for a break on a summer afternoon in the pleasant river breeze. Taking a look at the river where tonight's fireworks will launch while it's still light makes it easier to picture where to view them at night. Beyond the open view lie Toyooka's townscape and mountains, letting you spend a relaxing time.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Konotori no Sato Park. Some areas have little shade, so a hat or parasol is reassuring in summer. It's also a good idea to check the location of restrooms while it's still light.

About 1 hour 15 minutes. The river breeze is pleasant in the time before evening
