About this spot

This park carries out efforts to protect and breed Oriental White Storks, a special natural monument species that once became extinct in Japan, and return them to nature. From the observation area in the park, you can see the storks with their large wings spread, soaring gracefully up close. The surrounding paddy fields spread out, allowing visitors to enjoy the very essence of Toyooka's rural mountain scenery. The museum also offers learning about the history of coexistence between storks and humans, providing family members with a profound appreciation of nature's wealth.

2026年8月2日(日)開催、円山川の河川敷を会場にした豊岡柳まつりの花火大会です。川幅が広く開けた場所柄、視界を遮るものが少なく、約2,000発の花火を大きく開けた夜空いっぱいに楽しめます。静かな川面に花火の光が映り込む様子も見どころのひとつです。夏の夜、豊岡の街を彩る花火の連発が河川敷いっぱいに広がる瞬間は、この一日のクライマックスにふさわしい光景です。

Tips

荒天時は中止または順延の場合があるため、当日は主催者の発表を確認しましょう。終了後は駅や周辺道路が混み合うため、少し余韻を楽しんでからの移動がおすすめです。河川敷は足元が暗いので、ライトを用意しておくと安全です。

Tips

About 10 minutes by bus or car from Toyooka Station with free parking available. The outdoor observation area is central to the park, so bring a hat and water in summer. Local specialties can be purchased at the gift shop.
