A regional airport beloved as the sky gateway to the Okhotsk region, its observation deck lets you watch planes taking off and landing up close. The open scenery created by the wide sky and runway is a spot that captivates plane-loving kids and adults alike. The airport also has a shop and rest area, and being able to cool off indoors in the air conditioning is a welcome bonus in summer.

About a 10-minute drive from the Memanbetsu shore of Lake Abashiri. The observation deck is free to use. Since the times you can see planes depend on the flight schedule, checking the timetable in advance will make your visit more enjoyable.
