About this spot

This is Toma Town's community center, used for concerts, lectures, meetings, and club activities. Centered around a hall with movable audience seating, it also offers small and large meeting rooms whose size can be adjusted with partitions, furnished throughout with chairs and tables from Condehouse (カンディハウス), a furniture maker from Asahikawa (旭川). It's right next to the venue for the Toma Banryu Festival (とうま蟠龍まつり), and by evening the surrounding area is lined with food stalls and vendors, wrapping the whole town in a festive mood. Fill up on food here while securing a spot where you can watch calmly.

Tips

About a 10-minute drive from Sunrise Park Toma (サンライズパーク当麻). Roads and parking around the area get crowded on the day of the festival, so allow plenty of time to travel. Food stalls mainly accept cash, so bring small bills and coins.

Best time to visit

About 2 hours 40 minutes needed. The festival is liveliest around sunset.
