About this spot

This field athletic course is set on Mount Toma (当麻山) and features 30 obstacle points. Seven of these are designed for young children, so siblings of different ages can each take on the course at their own pace. Since the route winds up and down through a forested mountain, it's the perfect way to spend the afternoon before the festival, moving your body to the fullest. Burn off plenty of energy here before heading to the festival venue in the evening.

Tips

About a 10-minute drive from Toma Limestone Cave (当麻鍾乳洞). Sunlight is strong during summer daytime, so don't forget a hat, sun protection, and water. Restrooms are also available, so it's reassuring for visitors with small children.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 30 minutes needed. Later in the afternoon, when the sunlight softens a little, is a comfortable time to visit.
