A stretch of Kujukuri Beach, one of Japan's longest sandy beaches at about 60km in total length. The area around Katakai Chuo Coast, where tonight's fireworks will launch, is especially spacious, making it a great time to walk along the water's edge and feel the sea breeze. As evening approaches, the color of the sky gradually begins to change, building anticipation for the fireworks to come. Walking barefoot along the shoreline is another way to enjoy the summer feel.
Tips
About a 15-minute drive from Hasunuma Kaihin Koen. The sand gets hot during the day, so sandals are reassuring to have. Parking gets crowded from evening onward on the day of the fireworks display, so it's also a good idea to park early during this time.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour. A walk in the soft evening light is recommended.
