Stroll the Matsuo Basho-connected tree-lined path and red-railed bridge
About this spot
A representative scenic spot of Soka City with a pine-tree-lined path stretching approximately 1.5km along the Ayase River. Known as the path Matsuo Basho walked during his Narrow Road to the Deep North journey, you can feel the history as you stroll. From the distinctive red-railed Hyakudai Bridge, you can take in the full view of the pine trees and river—a popular photo spot. The tree-shaded path is relatively easy to walk even in midsummer, perfect for family walks.
