A historic park developed at the birthplace of Hatakeyama Shigeatsu, a samurai of the Kamakura period. Shigeatsu appears in historical records such as the 'Azuma Kagami' as a warrior renowned for his military prowess and strategem, and is still respected locally. The park features historic sites and monuments related to Shigeatsu, as well as lush green spaces, allowing for a leisurely historic walk. It's a great opportunity for children to become familiar with this important historical figure from their local area.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Michi-no-Eki Kawamoto. Some areas within the park are unpaved, so wear comfortable walking shoes. In summer, it's recommended to choose shaded areas and take breaks.
