About this spot
The birthplace of Shibusawa Eiichi, called "the father of Japanese capitalism." While the current building was reconstructed by Eiichi's brother-in-law, you can view the charming traditional Japanese house and garden that retain the feel of the original era. It's one of Fukaya City's representative historic sites where you can touch the origins of this great figure who played a major role in Japan's modern economic development. There's also the Shibusawa Eiichi Memorial Museum nearby, and visiting both provides deeper insight into Eiichi's life.

荒川の広々とした河川敷を舞台に開催される、深谷市を代表する夏の花火大会です。2026年8月2日(日)19時から21時までの2時間、約4,000発の花火が夜空に次々と打ち上がります。遮るものが少ない河川敷ならではの開放的な視界で、大きく開く花火を存分に楽しめるのが魅力です。長い開催時間の中で趣向を凝らした演出が続くため、飽きることなく最後まで楽しめます。雄大な荒川の流れとともに、家族で深谷の夏をしめくくる特別な夜を過ごしましょう。
Tips
中の家から車で約20分。当日は周辺道路や駐車場が大変混雑するため、時間に余裕を持って早めに移動しましょう。荒天時は中止や順延の場合があるため、開催可否は深谷市の公式発表で確認してください。河川敷は足元が暗いので、小さなライトがあると安心です。

About 20 minutes by car from Kashima Kofun Group. Admission is free, but visiting hours are fixed, so it's best to check beforehand. Visiting both this site and the nearby Shibusawa Eiichi Memorial Museum can take over an hour, so plan your time accordingly.
