About this spot

A shrine representative of the Uda region, whose main hall, built in the Kamakura period, is designated a National Treasure. The beautiful sight of the three main halls standing side by side, along with the quiet, tree-shrouded grounds, conveys a real sense of history's weight. It's a perfect spot to spend a calm moment after strolling through the townscape.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from the Ouda townscape. It's good manners to visit the grounds quietly. With plenty of shade, it's also a good place to rest and escape the summer sun.
