About this spot
Continuing from Muroji Beach, Zoushonoha Cape is a narrow cape covered with pine trees, distinctive for its elephant trunk-like shape as its name suggests. A walking path is well-maintained, allowing you to walk to the tip of the cape while admiring the calm scenery of the Seto Inland Sea. Historic temples are scattered throughout, offering a walking course where you can experience both nature and history. In summer, many people enjoy swimming here.

2026年8月1日(土)開催、旭橋周辺の立野西庄を会場とする、地域の伝統行事「周防柱松」とともに行われる花火大会です。柱松と呼ばれる火祭りの伝統行事に花火が加わり、川沿いの夜空を彩ります。地域に長く受け継がれてきた行事ならではの厳かな雰囲気と、花火の華やかさをあわせて楽しめる、光市の夏を締めくくる催しです。

荒天時は中止や延期の可能性があるため、当日は光市の公式発表で開催可否を確認を。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、時間差での帰宅がおすすめです。
Tips
About 15 minutes by car from Kamurayama Comprehensive Park. The round trip to the cape's tip takes about 30 minutes, so plan accordingly. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 30 minutes needed. The afternoon when sunlight softens is easier for strolling.
