Zohanagamisaki (象鼻ヶ岬), a slender pine-covered cape extending from Murozumi Beach (室積海水浴場), is named for its shape resembling an elephant's trunk. A walking path is well maintained, letting you walk to the tip of the cape while taking in the calm scenery of the Seto Inland Sea. Historic temples are also scattered along the way, making this a walking course where you can experience nature and history at the same time. In summer, it's also lively with people enjoying swimming.
Tips
About 15 minutes by car from Kanmuriyama Sogo Park (冠山総合公園). The round trip to the tip of the cape takes about 30 minutes, so allow plenty of time. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 30 minutes needed. The time when the afternoon sunlight softens is easier for walking
