A local women's group active along Murozumi's Kaisho-dori Street (海商通り), working to revitalize the town through the use of vacant houses. They run the permanent shop Murozumi Ichiban × Tsuzumi (室積市場ん×つゞみ), housed in the former Nakano Shokodo (旧中野昌晃堂) building, and hold a small market along the street every Tuesday morning. Kaisho-dori Street was once lined with shipping merchants as a port of call for the Kitamae ships (北前船), and Edo- to Meiji-era townhouses still remain today. Picking up dinner in this neighborhood before heading to the fireworks venue around Asahi Bridge (旭橋), and taking a relaxed moment with your family, will help you feel at ease once night falls.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Nijigahama (虹ヶ浜). Shops around the venue get crowded right before the fireworks, so shopping at this time is recommended. Securing parking early is also reassuring.
