The area in front of Otsuki Station, where JR Chuo Main Line and Fujikyuko Railway lines converge. A calm street lined with eateries and shops, characteristic of a mountain-surrounded town. After exploring Saruhashi's gorge, strolling the station area to experience the town's atmosphere while having a light snack is the perfect timing. Rest up before heading to the evening festival venue.
Tips
Accessible by bus or on foot from Saruhashi Park. In summer, the sun is strong, so hydrate frequently. On festival day, it gets crowded from evening onward, so enjoying a leisurely afternoon early is recommended.
