An archaeological site discovered as a settlement from the middle Jomon period, with several pit dwellings reconstructed in the park. Walking through the plaza surrounded by the rich natural landscape of Niigawa, you can reflect on the lives of people who lived here thousands of years ago. This is a valuable outdoor learning place where children can experience ancient life together with adults.

にゅうかわ夏まつりのクライマックス、丹生川支所前広場で行われる花火大会です。2026年8月1日(土)20時15分、山あいの夜空に約600発の花火がスターマインを中心に15分間にわたって次々と打ち上がります。短時間に凝縮された花火は密度が高く、周囲を山に囲まれた会場ならではの迫力ある音の反響も魅力です。地元の夏祭りとして親しまれてきた行事の締めくくりにふさわしい、夏の夜のクライマックスです。

Tips

荒天時は中止や順延になる場合があるため、当日は高山市や丹生川まちづくり協議会の発表で開催可否を確認しましょう。山あいの夜は真夏でも冷え込むことがあるため、羽織ものを忘れずに。終了後は帰りの道が混み合うため、時間差での移動がおすすめです。

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Senko-ji Temple. Since it's an outdoor facility, bring hats and drinks in summer. It's also ideal for spreading out a picnic lunch on the grassy plaza.
