A roadside station at the foot of Mt. Kuraiyama (位山) in Nyukawa-cho, located in a highland area also popular as a ski resort in winter. It has a produce hall selling local specialties and a restaurant, lined with items that make the most of Hida's mountain bounty. Stock up on drinks and souvenirs here for a break before heading to the festival venue.
Tips
About 15 minutes by car from the Dōnojō Site (堂之上遺跡). Opening hours vary by season, so it is a good idea to check in advance.
