A gateway to Tamano City where ferries depart for islands of the Seto Inland Sea like Naoshima. True to its reputation as an art island, the harbor area features unique art installations and monuments scattered throughout that you can enjoy while strolling. Watch the ferries and fishing boats while soaking in the relaxed port town atmosphere. Tonight's fireworks venue is also nearby, making this a good reference point for choosing your viewing location.

2026年8月2日(日)開催、直島航路の玄関口である宇野港を舞台にした夏の風物詩です。瀬戸内海の穏やかな海面の上に約3,000発の花火が次々と打ち上がり、波の少ない港ならではの落ち着いた雰囲気の中でじっくり観覧できます。行き交うフェリーの灯りと花火が重なる、港町らしい夜景も見どころのひとつ。昼間に訪れた海や動物園、港のアートの余韻とともに、玉野の夏の1日を締めくくります。
Tips
荒天時は中止や延期の可能性があるため、当日の開催可否は主催者の発表で確認を。終了後は宇野駅や周辺道路が大変混雑するため、少し余韻を楽しんでからの帰路がおすすめです。

Driving from Shibukawa Zoo is convenient. The port area has little shade, so stay hydrated on hot summer days. Timing your stroll with ferry arrivals and departures lets you enjoy the bustling harbor atmosphere more fully.
