The area around Uno Port's First Pier (宇野港第一突堤), the venue for the fireworks display, becomes lively with festival food stalls from the evening onward. Enjoy local food and drinks while watching the scenery of ferries coming and going to islands such as Naoshima (直島). The growing buzz of the crowd waiting for the fireworks as night falls is also part of the unique appeal of this festival.
Tips
About a 20-minute drive from Mt. Ojigatake (王子が岳). Roads and parking in the area get very crowded from the evening of the fireworks display, so early arrival is recommended. It's also a good idea to buy food and drinks ahead of time.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 50 minutes. The changing colors of the sky over the harbor toward sunset are also worth seeing.
