About this spot
A shrine revered as the chief shrine of Oki Province, with a massive cedar tree called "Yaoshio Sugi" towering in the sanctuary, said to be over 1,000 years old. The adjacent Oki Family Residence is an old mansion belonging to the Oki clan, descendants of the Oki provincial governors, and houses precious historical documents and artifacts. A uniquely Oki experience where you can feel the island's long and storied history.

2026年8月1日(土)開催、隠岐諸島の玄関口・西郷港を舞台にした夏の花火祭りです。中町目貫の会場は港のすぐそばにあり、花火が夜空と海面の両方を彩る景観が楽しめます。島の夏を締めくくる恒例の催しとして、地元の人々や観光客が集う華やかな夜です。離島ならではの澄んだ夜空に打ち上がる花火は、本土の花火大会とはまたひと味違う趣があります。
Tips
荒天時は中止や延期の可能性があるため、当日は隠岐の島町の公式発表で開催可否を確認を。終了後は港周辺の道が混み合うため、時間差での帰宅がおすすめです。海沿いは風が涼しいので羽織ものがあると安心です。
Tips
About 10 minutes by car from Saigo Port. Please observe quiet etiquette when visiting the shrine. In summer, there are many shaded areas, allowing you to enjoy your visit while escaping the heat.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Late morning to early afternoon is the most pleasant time to visit.
