Kamiyuge Port is one of the gateways to Yuge Island, with ferries running between it and Karouto Port on Innoshima (Hiroshima Prefecture) across the water. Since the Karouto ferry line carries not only passengers but also cars and bicycles, it serves as an everyday means of transport for island residents. After returning from Innoshima, pass by this port on your way to Yuge Port's inner harbor, tonight's venue for the Furusato Night Market. In the evening, the port is gradually getting ready for the night market, a time when anticipation builds for the festival about to begin.

Tips

Check the ferry schedule from Mt. Shirataki and head to Yuge Port's inner harbor with plenty of time to spare. On the day of the night market, parking spaces around the port get crowded, so arriving early is recommended.
