Held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, this summer festival takes place on Mitsukue Bay (三机湾) on the Sadamisaki Peninsula (佐田岬半島). About 2,000 fireworks rise one after another over the quiet, mountain-ringed inlet, creating a dreamlike scene as the light reflects on the calm water's surface. Unlike fireworks displays in the city, watching fireworks in the stillness unique to this peninsula inlet has a special charm all its own. Enjoy the fireworks slowly with your family as the finishing touch to a day spent playing in the water and strolling through the port town.
