This valley in Ishihara-cho, Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, is a popular summer spot thanks to its clear stream flowing between the rocks. There are shallow areas where you can enjoy playing in the water, making it a perfect place to escape the heat along with the cool mountain air. Simply walking through the green-covered valley lets you feel a richness of nature different from what you find in the city.

Tips

You'll travel here by car from Touei Onsen. Since there is some distance, plan your schedule with extra travel time. If you plan to play in the water, a change of clothes, a towel, and sandals you don't mind getting wet are reassuring to have. Avoid entering the water when it's swollen, and check conditions on the day.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 30 minutes. It's precisely during the hot afternoon, under strong sunlight, that the coolness feels best.
