About this spot

A signature gorge of Toei with a clear stream flowing between rocks, popular during summer. There are shallow areas where water play is possible, and combined with the cool mountain air, it's perfect for escaping the heat. Simply walking through the green-covered gorge allows you to feel the abundance of nature different from the city.

2026年8月1日(土)開催、東栄町下田市場周辺を会場とする八坂神社祭典の花火大会です。周囲を山々に囲まれた小さな町の夜空に花火が打ち上がり、花火の音が山にこだまする独特の迫力を感じられます。地域に根づいたアットホームな夏祭りとして、地元の人々に長く親しまれてきた催しです。

Tips

荒天時は中止や延期の可能性があるため、当日は東栄町の公式発表で開催可否を確認を。山あいの夜は冷え込みやすいため羽織ものを忘れずに。終了後は道が混み合うため、時間差での帰宅がおすすめです。

Tips

Approximately 10 minutes by car from Toei Hot Spring. If water play, bring a change of clothes, towels, and sandals that can get wet. Check conditions on the day, as entry should be avoided during high water levels.
