About this spot

This museum introduces Hana Matsuri, a folk performing art long passed down in the Oku-Mikawa region, which includes Toei Town. On display are the demon masks, costumes, and drums used in the dances, and you can feel the powerful energy of a festival where dancing continues through the night, through photos and video footage. It's a chance to learn about the traditional culture living on in this mountain village, unique to this region.

Tips

You'll travel here by car from Kuragari Valley. Since there is some distance, plan your schedule with extra travel time. The museum is air-conditioned inside, making it a good spot to take a break during the hot hours of summer.
