This is the fireworks display of the Yasaka Shrine Festival, held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 during the eve festival, with the venue near Shinbashi in Shimoda Ichiba in Toei Town. The festival continues for two days through the main festival on Sunday, August 2, and during the eve festival, a float parade is also held starting at 4 p.m. Fireworks launch into the night sky of this small town surrounded by mountains, and you can feel the unique power of the sound echoing off the mountains. It's an event that has long been cherished by local residents as a homey summer festival rooted in the community.

In case of rain, the event will be postponed to the second day (August 2), so check Toei Town's official announcement on the day for whether it's going ahead. Nights in the mountains can get chilly, so don't forget something to layer on. Roads get congested after the event ends, so it's recommended to head home at a staggered time.
