About this spot

This is a multi-purpose facility that makes use of a former nursery school building. It offers rental spaces including a wood-floored gallery, a woodworking room for DIY projects, a kids' area, and a garden, and its cafe, which operates irregularly, serves homemade bread made from domestic wheat and dishes using pesticide-free rice grown on-site. In summer, a beer garden is sometimes held here as well. The area around Shimoda Ichiba, where the fireworks display is held, is the central part of Toei Town. As the sun starts to lower at this time, pick up dinner amid the laid-back atmosphere typical of a mountain village, and wait for the show to start with your family.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from the Hanamatsuri Kaikan. The area around the venue usually has few shops, so it's reassuring to pick up drinks and light snacks early.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 30 minutes. The time before sunset, as it starts to cool down, is comfortable to spend here.
