About this spot

This park displays real steam locomotives and train cars outdoors, making it a dream spot for railway enthusiasts. Some cars let you go inside and see the driver's cab, delighting kids and adults alike. Set on a hill, it also offers great views, giving families a relaxed time to experience railway history together. There's also an indoor exhibit, which is handy for a break during the hot season.

Tips

About a 20-minute walk from JR Ome Line Mitake Station (御嶽駅), or there's also a bus from Ome Station. Sunlight is strong around the outdoor display cars in summer, so don't forget a hat and to stay hydrated.

About 1 hour. It's relatively uncrowded from morning into midday, making it easy to look around
