About this spot

This viewpoint with a rest area sits partway along the Ome Hills hiking trail (青梅丘陵ハイキングコース). It's the most popular course in the city — the section from the Ome Station side to Yaguradai runs along flat, gentle hills, while the stretch further west toward Enoki Pass (榎峠) has continuous ups and downs. From around the rest area you can look out over the Ome townscape, so taking in the layout of the town and the valley terrain during the day can help you plan where to watch tonight's fireworks.

Tips

You can walk or drive here from Ome Railway Park. There are slopes and stairs within the park, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. There's plenty of shade too, so take breaks during the hotter parts of the day.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour. When the sun is strong, enjoying the view from the shade is also a good option
