About this spot

This dam, which forms Hayama Lake (はやま湖), is a spot with grand scenery surrounded by mountains. From the dam's embankment you can take in a panoramic view of the lake surface and feel the clear air unique to a quiet mountain area. Taking in the lake during the day, where fireworks will rise tonight, makes the evening viewing even more enjoyable.

Tips

About a 10-minute drive from the Iitate Relocation Support Center (いいたて移住サポートセンター). Watch your footing carefully around the dam area.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour. In the clear afternoon air, the green of the mountains and the surface of the lake look beautiful together
