On the evening of the fireworks festival, shops and eateries near the venue get crowded. Having an early meal at a local restaurant lets you settle in for the evening show at a relaxed pace. After eating, head back to Eguchihama Coastal Park (江口浜海浜公園), spread out a picnic sheet, and secure a good spot for viewing. Spending time watching the sun set into the East China Sea is a highlight unique to this area.

Tips

Moving early is recommended if you want a good spot. It can get chilly by the sea at night, so don't forget something to layer on. It gets dark underfoot after sunset, so a small light is reassuring to have.
