About this spot

This facility, located in a corner of Michi-no-Eki Ashoro Ginga Hall 21, houses the direct-sale shop Yotte Bisai for produce and other goods, along with restaurants. The roadside station also has a display recreating the platform and tracks of the former Furusato Ginga Line's Ashoro Station, as well as a gallery lined with stage costumes of Matsuyama Chiharu, a singer from Ashoro, letting you trace the town's history while you take a break. On the day of the fireworks festival, this is when the whole town starts to liven up ahead of the hometown bon dance. Pick up drinks and a light meal while building anticipation for the evening venue.

Tips

Within walking distance of the Ashoro Animal Fossil Museum. Roads may be closed to traffic on the day of the festival, so if driving, it's reassuring to check parking locations in advance.

About 1 hour needed. The calmer time before evening lets you look around at leisure.
