函館の奥座敷として知られる湯の川温泉街で開催される、61回の歴史を誇る花火大会です。松倉川の河口付近から19時に約3,000発の花火が打ち上がり、温泉旅館の灯りと花火の光が重なり合う情緒あふれる夜景をつくり出します。温泉街ならではの落ち着いた雰囲気で花火を楽しめるのが魅力です。
Tips
荒天時は中止または延期となる場合があるため、当日は函館市の公式発表で確認を。終了後は温泉街周辺が混み合うため、少し時間を置いてから移動するのがおすすめです。
Tips
You can visit multiple foot baths within walking distance from Yukura Shrine. It is convenient to bring a towel. Rest well during this time to prepare for the evening fireworks.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes required. The slightly cooler time before evening is especially pleasant.
